In the City of Detroit, we partnered with DTE Energy and constructed three new 120kV substations and several miles of new 120kV underground transmission.
Project Summary
ITC Michigan is committed to serving customers and communities by providing safe, secure, reliable electricity transmission service to meet their needs. In the City of Detroit, we partnered with our customer, DTE Energy, and constructed three new 120kV substations: Hamtramck, Promenade and Islandview. In addition, several miles of new 120kV underground transmission were installed, connecting the new substations to existing infrastructure.
These Detroit infrastructure improvements represent a forward-looking approach that will improve the reliability of electric service to residents and businesses while supporting current and future electricity demand throughout the region to drive growth.
