Patriot Recovery Residences, a Cedar Rapids–based nonprofit, continues to expand its mission of giving veterans hope for a better future through sober, stable housing and access to community resources. The organization purchased its first residence in January 2024 and celebrated its first full year of operation in July 2025.
Located in northeast Cedar Rapids, “Patriot House” provides a safe, supportive environment for veterans, allies and women rebuilding their lives after substance use, homelessness or mental‑health challenges. The home can accommodate eight men and four women, each with a private furnished room. In its first year alone, the organization served 55 veterans on their path to long‑term recovery.
ITC Midwest deepened its commitment to those who have served our country by donating a one‑year membership for Patriot Recovery Residences to join the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance. For a small nonprofit, this membership opens doors to a broader network of local businesses, donors and volunteers. These connections can strengthen both financial stability and community partnerships.
“This membership gives us a seat at the table with organizations we’ve never had access to before,” Thane said. “For the veterans we serve, every new connection can mean another opportunity, another resource, another step toward a stable future. ITC Midwest’s support helps us build those bridges.”
ITC Midwest’s support for Patriot Recovery Residences reflects a broader commitment to strengthening the communities we serve and honoring those who have served our country. By helping Patriot House expand its connections, resources and visibility, we are investing in stability, dignity and opportunity for veterans rebuilding their lives.
