ITC Michigan, through its ITC Transmission subsidiary, is upgrading its approximately 4 mile, 120,000 volt (120 kV) Bloomfield – Hamlin transmission line that serves the Auburn Hills, Pontiac and Rochester Hills communities. This project will improve the reliability of high-voltage electrical service in the area by replacing the current 120kV double-circuit towers with 230 kV double-circuit monopoles.
Work began in January 2016 and was completed in June 2016.
