REPAIR WORK CONCLUDED, SECTION OF CEDAR LAKE TRAIL REOPENED

Repair Work Concluded, Section of Cedar Lake Trail Reopened

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – July 31, 2014 – Contractors for ITC Midwest LLC (ITC) have concluded repairs to the Cedar Lake trail in downtown Cedar Rapids, allowing the trail to be re-opened July 31.

The trail was closed June 23 to repair damage to the trail done when ITC performed January maintenance on an electric transmission line that runs along the trail. The trail repairs included laying approximately 1,400 feet of new asphalt, making repairs to existing asphalt, and replacing the concrete pads for two benches and bike stands along the side of the trail west of Cedar Lake.
