ITC DECORATES TRANSMISSION TOWERS WITH FESTIVE LIGHTING AS PART OF HOLIDAY TRADITION

NOVI, Mich., November 22, 2013 – ITC’s Michigan operating entities ITCTransmission and MichiganElectric Transmission Company, LLC (METC), which own and operate the high-voltage electricity grid in Michigan, are lighting up nine of their 150-foot tall transmission towers with colorful holiday decorations again this year. Thetransmission towers are decorated with approximately one-quarter mile of ropelights (16,000 bulbs). The displays include 10- by 15-foot Happy Holidayssigns and brightly lit stars at the tower tops. The festive lights will shineevery evening from November 22 through January 2.

“Our tower decorations havebecome a popular holiday tradition in Michigan,” said Gregory Ioanidis, presidentof ITC Michigan. “We’re happy to join the communities we serve all across the LowerPeninsula in celebrating this festive time of the year.”

ITCtransmission towers will be lighting up the sky in the following communities:

  • Belleville (I-94west of Haggerty)
  • Bridgeport –(I-75 between Dixie Hwy. and M-46)
  • BrownstownTownship (I-75 south of Van Horn Road & Vreeland Rd.)
  • Gaylord (I-75)
  • Grand Rapids (US131 north of 28th Street SW)
  • Livonia (south ofPlymouth Road and Hines Drive)
  • Novi (I-96 atMeadowbrook)
  • St. Clair (I-94north of Fred W. Moore Hwy.)
  • Sterling Heights(Hall Road east of M-53)Eagle Sign Company ofFerndale designed the decorations for ITC, and Utility Lines ConstructionServices placed them on the towers.ITC also will feature lightedholiday signs on its headquarters building along M-5 in Novi and itsoffice/warehouse locations in Kawkawlin and Wayland.
