International Transmission Company becomes ITCTransmission

Novi, Mich., March 14, 2006 – International Transmission Company, owner and operator of electric transmission lines in Southeast Michigan, today announced its new name under which it will be doing business, ITCTransmission.

Working with Pangborn Design, ITCTransmission developed the new name and logo to distinguish itself from ITC Holdings Corp. (NYSE: ITC), its publicly traded parent company. This monolithic approach distinguishes ITC Holdings from its transmission owning/operating company and builds a model for future growth.

ITCTransmission is the first independently owned and operated electricity transmission company in the United States. ITCTransmission owns, operates and maintains a fully-regulated, high-voltage system that transmits electricity to local electric distribution facilities from generating stations in Michigan, other Midwestern states and Ontario, Canada. The local distribution facilities connected to the ITCTransmission system serves 13 southeastern Michigan counties, including the Detroit metropolitan area.
