Iowa’s Future Leaders STEM From Investing in Students
According to IOWA’S MOST RECENT STEM REPORT CARD, nearly 30 percent of students are interested in pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers. While interest in STEM is increasing, it is very important to keep students engaged to prevent them from dropping out of the STEM talent pipeline.
We are strong advocates of STEM programs and support efforts to encourage young people to follow a STEM-focused curriculum. In an effort to support the upward trend, ITC Midwest partnered with the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council’s Southeast Iowa STEM Innovation Fund to promote the benefits of STEM education through strategic placement of billboards in Iowa.
In addition to the Southeast Iowa STEM Innovation Fund, we also supported the Fast-Track Iowa’s Future STEM Conference, designed to provide resources to help grow and improve STEM-oriented school and business partnerships within Iowa communities.
We are proud to invest in Iowa’s future workforce and contribute to such a strong STEM community in the state.
