FORTIS INC. AND SUBSIDIARIES DONATE $100,000 TO RED CROSS HURRICANE RELIEF FUNDS

NOVI, Mich., Sept. 5, 2017 – ITC Holdings Corp. (ITC) will join its parent company Fortis Inc. and other Fortis subsidiaries to donate approximately $100,000 to the American Red Cross in support of residents and communities afflicted by Hurricane Harvey.

Fortis Inc. will contribute $50,000 while ITC and its employees will contribute $25,000 to the donation. Fortis subsidiaries UNS Energy Corporation, parent company to Tucson Electric Power, which serves nearly 420,000 customers in Southern Arizona, and Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, which serves approximately 380,000 customers in eight New York counties, also will make contributions.

“Tragedies like this touch all of us and rally our spirits in support of those directly impacted and the difficult recovery they face,” said Linda Apsey, ITC’s president and CEO. “Combined with the generosity shown by so many others, our hope is that this donation will assist the Red Cross in providing a measure of comfort and hope to victims of this disaster.”
