Mrs. Apsey is responsible for the strategic vision and overall business operation of ITC and its subsidiaries. Previously, Mrs. Apsey served as Executive Vice President and Chief Business Unit Officer, leading all aspects of the financial and operational performance of the company. Ms. Apsey also has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer, and President of ITC Michigan where she was responsible for the company's regulatory, marketing and communications, federal, state and local government affairs, and human resource functions.
 

ROBERT A. (BOB) ELLIOTT

Mr. Elliott formed The Elliott Accounting Group in Tucson, Arizona in 1983 and serves as its president and owner. Before beginning his financial services career, Mr. Elliott played professional basketball, including three seasons with the New Jersey Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He finished his playing career with the Detroit Spirits of the Continental Basketball Association in 1983. While running his accounting firm, Mr. Elliott spent 29 years as a broadcaster for the National College Athletic Association and the NBA. He was a three-time academic and athletic All-American at the University of Arizona, where he earned a bachelor of science in accounting and an MBA. 

Albert Ernst

Mr. Ernst joined Dykema in 1979 following his service as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan. His experience with companies in the public utility, energy, transmission, telecommunications and rural electric cooperative fields spans three decades. The primary focus of his Lansing-based practice is on the administrative and regulatory issues facing clients in the electric and natural gas sectors and related industry infrastructure.

Rhys D. Evenden

Mr. Evenden has served as a Senior Vice President of GIC Special Investments Pte Ltd (GICSI) since 2014. In this role he heads the North American infrastructure team, which is responsible for acquisitions and asset management for a portfolio of power, utility, midstream and transportation assets. Prior to joining GICSI, he served as a Principal of QIC Global Infrastructure from December 2011 until August 2012. From March 2007 until December 2011, he served as a Senior Vice President in GICSI’s infrastructure group. Mr. Evenden joined GICSI from BAA Limited, where he served as Head of Business Development for outside terminal businesses across BAA Limited’s airports.

James P. Laurito

Mr. Laurito served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, the first U.S. subsidiary of Fortis. He joined Central Hudson in January 2010 as President of the Utility. Mr. Laurito also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of both New York State Electric and Gas Corporation and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation, subsidiaries of Iberdrola/ Energy East Corporation.

Barry Perry

Mr. Perry’s career with Fortis Group spans nearly 20 years. He was previously Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Perry joined the Fortis Group in 2000 as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Newfoundland Power. He was also Vice President and Treasurer with a global forest products company and Corporate Controller with a large crude oil refinery.

 

Sandra E. Pierce

Ms. Pierce joined Huntington in 2016 after its merger with FirstMerit Corporation. She leads the Private Client Group, encompassing Huntington Wealth and Investment Management, Huntington Private Bank, the Huntington Investment Company, National Settlements and Retirement Plan Services. Ms. Pierce also leads the Regional Presidents, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications and Regional Marketing Teams for Huntington. She began her financial services career in 1978.

Mr. Prust has more than 30 years of financial and accounting experience serving a variety of public and private organizations, most recently with The Weitz Company, a large national and international construction firm. Prior to joining the Weitz Company, Mr. Prust was a managing partner with a national accounting firm, McGladrey & Pullen LLP, which he joined in 1978. He has expertise with strategic leadership, mergers and acquisitions, financing and governance.

Doug Rothwell President and CEO, Business Leaders for Michigan

Mr. Rothwell is the President and CEO of Business Leaders for Michigan – the state’s business roundtable. In the public sector he served as Delaware’s Chief of Staff, President of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and chair of Governor Rick Snyder’s transition team. In the business world, Mr. Rothwell managed General Motors’ 400 million square foot global real estate portfolio and was the Chief Administrative Officer at Bank of America’s credit card subsidiary.
 
 

Thomas G. Stephens

Mr. Stephens was a member of GM’s executive committee and reported to CEO Daniel Akerson. He previously served as vice chairman, Global Product Operations and oversaw GM’s global purchasing organization. Mr. Stephens began his career with GM in 1969 as an hourly employee at the Chevrolet Engineering Center in Warren, Mich., under the University of Michigan's student co-op program. Upon graduation, he became a junior engineer at the Cadillac Motor Car Division in Detroit. He went on to serve in various engineering and management positions and was elected a GM vice president in 1994.
 

Joseph L. Welch

Mr. Welch is former President and Chief Executive Officer of ITC and will continue to serve as its Chairman. He began his career in the utility business in 1971, established ITCTransmission in Michigan as a stand-alone entity from its parent corporation in 2003, and subsequently led ITC’s growth into becoming largest independent transmission company in the United States. As part of the completion of the Fortis transaction, Mr. Welch announced his retirement as President and Chief Executive Officer of ITC, effective Nov. 1, 2016.
