Kansas Municipal Utilities

ITC Great Plains has been actively working with partners throughout Kansas to increase the efficiency and reliability of the state’s transmission grid. It has been ITC Great Plains’ goal from the beginning to facilitate a competitive marketplace, deliver energy and improve customer value. We do this by investing in transmission infrastructure that improves reliability, reduces congestion and system losses, and thus reduces the overall cost of delivered energy.

We know potential growth opportunity in Kansas stems from the agriculture, oil and wind industries. These industries are the core areas for Kansas economic development, and to meet your future business and economic needs there has to be a highly reliable and robust electrical grid.

Although ITC Great Plains’ focus to date has been on the high voltage transmission grid, we also believe Kansas needs a robust and highly reliable low voltage transmission grid that can ensure reliable delivery of energy to the Kansas Municipals.
