Joseph L. Welch

Chairman, President and CEO

As chairman, president and chief executive officer, Mr. Welch is responsible for the strategic vision and overall business operation of ITC Holdings and its subsidiaries. Under Mr. Welch's leadership, ITC and its subsidiaries have been singularly focused on investing in the high-voltage transmission system in order to provide best-in-class service to customers and pursuing transmission infrastructure improvements that will increase reliability, reduce constraints and lower the total cost of delivered energy. Mr. Welch is a leading voice in energy policy development that will support an evolving energy future and national economic development.

Since the beginning of his career in the utility business in 1971, Mr. Welch has held positions of increasing responsibility in the electricity transmission, distribution, rates, load research, marketing, pricing, and regulatory affairs that included the development and implementation of regulatory strategies. He established ITC Transmission as a stand-alone entity from its parent corporation in 2003 in Michigan and, as the largest fully independent transmission company in America, ITC and its subsidiaries now span across a seven state region.

Mr. Welch has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Michigan.

Mr. Welch is a member of the Board of Directors of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Detroit Economic Club, and Lotus Bank. He is on the Advisory Board of the University of Kansas’ College of Engineering and a member of the CEO Steering Committee for the Council on Competitiveness Manufacturing Initiative. Mr. Welch is also the co-author of Competitive Energy Markets: The Power of Choice.

Mr. Welch is involved with a number of charitable organizations, most notably the Welch Family Foundation, which provides scholarships for students at the University of Kansas.

 

Linda H. Blair

Executive Vice President, Chief Business Officer

Linda H. Blair is executive vice president, chief business officer for ITC Holdings Corp. In this role, she oversees ITC’s regulated operating companies and essential business support functions, including regulatory strategy, federal and state legislative affairs, community and government affairs, human resources, marketing and communications.

Ms. Blair was formerly senior vice president of business strategy for ITC. In that capacity, she was responsible for the development and execution of ITC’s short- and long-term strategic planning, as well as ITC’s Grid Development subsidiary.

Ms. Blair was manager of transmission policy and business planning for ITC when the organization was a subsidiary of DTE Energy. Prior to that role, she was a supervisor of regulatory relations in Detroit Edison’s Regulatory Affairs organization, where she was responsible for developing and managing regulatory and communications activities with the Michigan Public Service Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Ms. Blair earned an MBA and bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs Management from Michigan State University. She serves on the boards of The Heat and Warmth (THAW) Fund and the Novi Parks Foundation.

 

Cameron M. Bready

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Cameron M. Bready is executive vice president and chief financial officer for ITC Holdings Corp. In this role, he is responsible for the company's accounting, finance, treasury, Grid Development and other related financial functions.

Prior to joining ITC, Mr. Bready served as vice president of finance at Northeast Utilities in Hartford, Conn., where he was responsible for the financial assessment and structuring of the company's FERC-regulated transmission and state-regulated distribution infrastructure investments in the Northeast. In addition, Mr. Bready oversaw financial policy matters, including cost of capital and capital structure requirements and dividend policy, as well as all corporate financial planning and analysis functions. Mr. Bready held various senior management positions at Mirant Corporation, a large wholesale electricity generator based in Atlanta, Georgia, before joining Northeast Utilities. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bready was a senior manager in the Transaction Advisory practice at Ernst & Young and an audit manager for Arthur Anderson.

Mr. Bready earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and is a Certified Public Accountant. He serves on the EEI Financial Executive Advisory Committee and is on the Board of Trustees of the Judson Center.

 

Jon E. Jipping

Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Jon E. Jipping, executive vice president and chief operating officer, is responsible for transmission system planning, system operations, engineering, supply chain, field construction and maintenance, information technology, facilities and security. Mr. Jipping was previously senior vice president of engineering, responsible for transmission system design, maintenance and project engineering, after being promoted from Director of Engineering.

Prior to joining ITC in 2003, Mr. Jipping joined Detroit Edison in Engineering Research in 1989. During his career at Detroit Edison, Mr. Jipping held positions of increasing responsibility in Transmission System Operations; Transmission and Sub transmission Planning; and Service Center Operations. Mr. Jipping earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Calvin College and a Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, concentrating in power systems, from Michigan Technological University. A registered professional engineer in the state of Michigan, Mr. Jipping currently chairs the Michigan Technological University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering External Advisory Committee. Mr. Jipping also resides on the Edison Electric Institutes' CEO Policy Committee on Energy Delivery and is a member of the North American Transmission Forum.

 

Daniel J. Oginsky

Senior Vice President, General Counsel

Daniel J. Oginsky is senior vice president and general counsel for ITC Holdings Corp. In this role, he is responsible for the legal affairs of the company and oversees ITC's Legal Department, which includes the legal, corporate secretary, real estate, contract administration and corporate compliance functions.

Prior to joining ITC, Mr. Oginsky served in private practice in Washington, D.C. and Lansing, Michigan, with a primary focus on energy matters. While in private practice, Mr. Oginsky advised and advocated for clients on regulatory, administrative litigation, legislative, transactional, property tax and other matters.

Mr. Oginsky earned his Juris Doctorate degree from George Washington University and his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Washington, D.C. Bar, and serves on the Board of Visitors for James Madison College at Michigan State University and is a member of the Providence Health Foundation Board of Trustees.
