
The ITC Charitable Giving Program supports programs and projects for charitable organizations that have been recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, with an emphasis placed on those projects that support the following areas of focus: Education, Environmental Stewardship, Social Services and Health & Wellness.
Applicants are encouraged to review the grant guidelines in the Overview and Guidelines tab before submitting an application to ensure their application meets the requirements set forth. It is important to note that because of budget constraints, not every application meeting the requirements may be able to be funded or be funded to the full extent of the request. We promise to give every qualifying request a fair review.
To apply for a grant, submit a written application on your organization’s letterhead, incorporating all the information below. In addition, include copies of the following items.
- A copy of the organization’s current IRS determination letter indicating 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
- A list of the organization’s Board of Directors with affiliations
- A copy of the organization’s most recent annual report

ITC Charitable Giving Program Grant applications must include the following information plus the required attachments. Failure to include the requested information will nullify the application.
- Name of Organization
- Address
- City/State/Zip
- Phone/Website
- Name and title of contact person
- Phone/email
- Federal Tax Identification Number/W-9
- State the organization’s purpose (limit 100 words)
- Identify the audience and geographic area served. See the list of eligible counties in each state here.
- Describe the program or project for which funds are requested. (limit 200 words)
Attach additional information such as flyers, brochures, program descriptions, etc. as appropriate. - Describe the need. What issue or problem does your program/project address? (limit 200 words)
- How does this issue relate to ITC’s mission, areas of focus and criteria? (limit 200 words)
- Describe the goals and estimated timeline to meet the proposed outcomes of the project. (limit 200 words)
- Specify how the funds will be spent
- Provide budget information
- Total project/program budget
- Amount secured from other sources
- Amount requested from ITC
- Identify any state or federal elected official who serves as a board member or officer and indicate their position with your organization
- Describe past support received from ITC
- List other sources from which substantial funds are being sought or have been received
